Act 19:38. Πρός τινα, against any man) The clerk prudently does not name Paul.-ἀγοραῖοι) viz. ἡμέραι.-ἀνθύπατοι, proconsuls) There was but one proconsul at the one time: but the clerk speaks in the plural of that which is wont never to cease to be [a permanent institution, such as the proconsulate].
