This Chapter Verse Commentaries:

Gal 4:17. Ζηλοῦσιν, they zealously affect) They zealously solicit [cajole] you. He does not name his rivals.-οὐ καλῶς, not well) not [being] in Christ, although they seem to do what is good [well]. The antithesis is, ἐν καλῷ, in a good thing, Gal 4:18. Neithe the cause in their case, he says, nor the manner is good.-ἐκκεῖσαι ὑμᾶς) exclude you from us, from me. They think, that we shall be excluded from you; but they would not exclude us from you, but you from us: ἐκκλεῖσαι, I am disposed to think, is not used in the sense, in which the Latins say that chickens are hatched (excludi, thrust forth from the shell).
