Jam 3:18. Καρπὸς δὲ δικαιοσύνης ἐν εἰρήνῃ, but the fruit of righteousness [is] in peace) So Heb 12:11, note. The fruit of righteousness is most abundant; although that fruitfulness does not immediately appear at the beginning. Righteousness is peaceable; peace is fruitful.-ἐν εἰήνῃ σπείρεται, is sown in peace) The expression, is sown, is in accordance with the word, fruit. Peace is described, Jam 3:17. Respecting the sowing and the righteous, see Psa 97:11, in the Hebrew.-τοῖς ποιοῦσιν εἰρήνην, for them that make peace) The dative expressing an advantage, with the force of limitation. See the opposite, Jam 4:1-2.-ποιεῖν εἰρήνην, to put forth peace; as ποιῆσαι ὕδωρ, to send forth water; Jam 3:12.
