Joh 1:43. Ἠθέλησεν ἐξελθεῖν, would go forth) and He did go forth, which ch. Joh 2:1 implies. By comparing with this ch. 2, especially the 11th verse, “This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory,” etc., it is evident that the word for going forth is significant. He went forth to action, to the carrying on of His work.
