Luk 18:17. Παιδίον, a little child) A παιδίον, or little child, has already somewhat of the use of his reason, so as to be able to receive, δέξασθαι (“the kingdom of God”); but the βρέφος, an infant, expresses even a lower degree, which is suited to the touch of the Saviour, Luk 18:15-16. [The fellowship of the kingdom of heaven consists for the most part of little children.-V. g.]
