Mar 1:38. Ἐχόμενας, which come next in our way) According as things external, whether place or time, present themselves, so the kingdom of God introduces [insinuates] itself.-ἐλήλυθα, I have come) The first and earliest words of Jesus contain something of an enigmatical character: but by degrees He speaks more openly of Himself. He was afterwards about to speak in this way, I went out [“came forth”] from the Father.[14]
[14] Joh 16:28. But here, in beginning His ministry, he does not add, from the Father.-ED.
