Mat 13:24. Παρέθηκεν αὐτοῖς, He set before them[623]) as food is set before a guest.[624]-ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ, in the field) sc. that in which He Himself is: for it is said “In,” not “into” His field.

[624] Ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν, the kingdom of heaven) As often soever as mention is made of this in the discourses and parables of our Lord, this very expression is to be regarded as a succinct recapitulation of the whole Gospel.-V. g.
