This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
Mat 26:12. Βαλοῦσα, in that she hath poured) The word implies profusion.-πρὸς τὸ ἐνταφιάσαι Με, for My burial) These words intimate that His death was certain and near at hand. The verb ἐνταφιάζειν does not mean “to place in the sepulchre,” but “to prepare for the sepulchre.” The ἐνταφιασμὸς of Jacob (Gen 50:2, S. V.) took place in Egypt, his sepulture afterwards [in Canaan].
