This Chapter Verse Commentaries:

Mat 6:19. Ὅπου, where) i.e. on earth. This has a causative force,[271] being equivalent to because there.[272]-ΒΡῶΣΙς, corrosion) This word, in opposition to moth, expresses rust, and every evil quality by which anything can become useless.-καὶ κλέπτουσι, and thus steal.

[272] Such is the principle of the life of not a few men, that they seem to exist in the world only for the purpose of amassing an abundance of earthly possessions.-V. g.

The particle δὲ in Mat 6:20 indicates that both cannot at the same time stand together.-V. g.
