Rom 10:10. Καρδίᾳ, with the heart) From the mentioning of the ‘heart’ and ‘mouth’ by Moses [in Deu 30:14, quoted here at Rom 10:8], the consequence is [here by Paul referred, or] proved in reference to ‘faith,’ and ‘confession;’ namely, because the ‘heart’ is the proper subject of ‘faith’ and the ‘mouth,’ of ‘confession;’ therefore Paul here in this verse begins his sentences, by saying, with the heart, and with the mouth.
