Rom 15:20. Δὲ, moreover [yea, Engl. V.]) He gives the reason for taking those regions under his own care.-φιλοτιμούμενον) The Accusative absolute, in the neuter gender,[158] the same as ἀρξάμενον, Luk 24:47.[159]-οὐχ ὅπου, not where) This is more emphatic, than if he had said, where not; for he intimates, that he had as it were avoided those places, where Christ had been already known.
