Rom 6:7. Ἀποθανὼν, dead) to sin, Rom 6:2.-δεδιχαίωται, [is freed from sin] is justified) Sin has now no longer any claim against him in law; with which comp. Rom 6:6; Rom 6:9, so that he is no longer a debtor, ch. Rom 8:12. In respect of the past, he is justified [just] from the guilt of sin; in respect of the future, from its dominion, Rom 6:14.
