Rom 9:8. Τουτέστιν) The apostle, using boldness in speaking, puts that is for therefore.-ταῦτα) הם, that is, are. The substantive pronoun for the substantive verb; so οὗτοι, these, Rom 9:6 : and frequently οὗτος this, Rom 9:9. The mode of expression in this chapter becomingly assumes the Hebrew idiom, so Rom 9:28, etc.
