14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:



Ver. 14. According unto his will] One said he could have what he would of God; and, Fiat voluntas mea, saith Luther in a certain prayer, but then he finely falls off with mea voluntas, Domine, quia tua; let my will be done, Lord, but so far forth as it is thy will.
