2Ch_23:5 And a third part [shall be] at the king’s house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the people [shall be] in the courts of the house of the LORD.
Ver. 5. At the gate of the foundation.] Called also the gate of Sur; and why, see on 2Ki_11:6. The Rabbis say that this gate had seven different names.
