2Ch_23:9 Moreover Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that [had been] king David’s, which [were] in the house of God.
Ver. 9. That had been king David’s.] See 2Ki_11:10. The very heathens consecrated their arma victricia, weapons wherewith they had done great exploits, to their gods; as giving them the honour of their victories.
