Ver. 17. That were valiant men.] Men of great strength and good mettle. Levites did great exploits when put upon it, as Exo_32:26, &c. "They out of Zebulun, that handled the pen of the writer" - scribes and scholars - also bore arms in some cases. {Jdg_5:14}
