6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.



Ver. 6. So he would finish] Finis opus coronat. The end crowns the work. "The end is better than the beginning," saith Solomon. Charles V’s emblem was Ulterius, Farther. Titus was here desired to take up the whole alms, and not to faint till he had finished, Gal_6:9.
