7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

God loveth a cheerful giver] Dat bene, dat multum, qui dat cum munere vultum. One may give with his hand, and pull it back with his looks.
