5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Ver. 5. Endure afflictions, do the work] Honor ministerii est in onere, dignitas in diligeutia, corona in contemptu.
Make full proof] ðëçñïöïñçóïí , or, accomplish thy ministry. So executing every part of it, as to make it thy whole business. Verbi minister es, hoc age, was Mr Perkins’ motto. Thou art a minister, look to it.
