2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Even as thy soul prospereth] By the blessing of him that dwelt in the bush, Deu_33:16. Now the soul prospereth when it hath close communion with God, and enjoys the light of his loving countenance, preferring his favour before the world’s warm sun.
