32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.



Ver. 32. And they spake unto him] So Master Tyndale, during the time of his imprisonment, converted his keeper, together with the keeper’s daughter, and others of his household. Also the rest that were with him in the prison, said, That if Tyndale were not a good Christian man, they could not tell whom to trust. The word of God is not bound, saith Paul the prisoner, Php_1:13. His bonds were manifest in all Caesar’s court, and to all others. In the Book of Martyrs we read also of one Bowler, a perverse Papist, converted by Doctor Sands and Master Bradford, whose keeper he was for over twenty weeks; and afterwards became their son, begotten in their bonds.
