This Chapter Verse Commentaries:

28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

Ver. 28. They were full of wrath] The Greek word èõìïò signifieth the heating or heaving of the blood by the apprehension of the injury offered; hot and fiery anger, such as was that of Nebuchadnezzar, seven fold hotter than his fiery furnace, Dan_3:19.

Great is Diana] Papists boast and write much of the Romish greatness, as Lipsius and others. We grant them to be that great whore in the Revelation, Rev_17:18.
