2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:



Ver. 2. I think myself happy] Est quaedam putativa felicitas, saith an interpreter here, si concedatur nobis causam nostram aperte agere. Beatitudo autem vera in peccatorum remissione, &c., Psa_32:1-2. It is a kind of happiness to have fair hearing before men; but the true happiness is to find favour with God.
