14 Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome.



Ver. 14. Seven days] For mutual enjoyment of one another; there being no such comfort upon earth, next to communion with God, as the communion of saints, 2Jn_1:12, that our joy may be full. This, heathens knew, and therefore relegated Christians and confined them to isles and mines, where they could not have access one to another. (Cyprian, Epist.)
