16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:



Ver. 16. Let no man therefore judge you] That is, set not up any such for a judge over your consciences; or, if any usurp such an authority, slight him, according to that, Gal_5:1. Periculosum est in divinis rebus ut quis cedat iure suo, saith Cyprian. In things of God we should be tender of our liberty.
