Exo_19:20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses [up] to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

And Moses went up.] As a mediator between God and his people. {Gal_3:19 Act_7:38} A mediator Moses was, not of redemption, as Christ that "Mediator of the new covenant" and "surety of a better testament," {Heb_7:22; Heb_9:15} but of receiving the law, and delivering it to the people, for which end here he went up.
