Ezr_7:9 For upon the first [day] of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first [day] of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
Ver. 9. According to the good hand of his God upon him] {See Trapp on "Ezr_7:6"} In all thy ways acknowledge God, and he shall direct thy paths, Pro_3:6. Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also upon him, and he shall bring it to pass, Psa_37:5. Holy Ezra had experimented all this (as also had Eliezer, Gen_24:56), and therefore ascribeth his good success to God’s good providence.
