Gen_18:22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
Ver. 22. Abraham stood yet before the Lord.] And without such to stand and pray, the world could not stand: they bear up the pillars of it. Oh, the price with God, and profit to men, of praying persons! God will yield something to such, when most of all enraged {Mat_24:20} or resolved. Lot was saved for Abraham’s sake, when all the rest perished.
