The Lord being merciful unto him.] What is he then to us, in "delivering us from the wrath to come?" {1Th_1:10} Why save we not ourselves from this untoward generation? {Act_2:40} Why see we not his mercy to us in our losses and crosses; his hand laying hold on us, when he takes away that which may hinder us from heaven?
