Gen_21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.
Ver. 18. For I will make him a great nation.] A nation by himself, as he had promised to Abraham. This had not come to pass, had not she missed her way to Egypt, and wandered in this wilderness.
