Gen_21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
Ver. 19. God opened her eyes, &c.] The well was there before, but she saw it not till her eyes were opened. So, till God irradiate both the organ and the object, we neither see nor suck those "breasts of consolation". {Isa_66:11} We turn the back, and not the palm of the hand, to the staff of the promises.
