Gen_24:10 And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master [were] in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor.

Took ten camels.] Creatures that are famous for their swiftness, strength, hardiness; for they will travel, they say, three days together, without water, which, in those hot countries, is in many places hard to come by. Sir Francis Drake in his travels {a} tells us of certain sheep in America as large as a cow, and replacing horses for burden or travel. The mule, they say, must have the bag hang by his mouth; so must some, the pipe or the pot at their elbows.
