Gen_43:10 For except we had lingered, surely now we had returned this second time.
Ver. 10. For except we had lingered, &c.] In the words of God there is not any hyperbole to be found. In the words of men, related by the Scripture, if we meet with such kind of expressions as this and that in Joh_21:25, it nothing derogates from the authority of the Scripture, as Pareus here noteth.
