Ver. 24. That speaketh better things] Every drop whereof had a tongue to cry for vengeance; whence it is called bloods, in the plural, Gen_4:10. But the blood of sprinkling (so Christ’s blood is here called, either in allusion to the blood of the paschal lamb sprinkled on the door posts, Exo_12:7, or else to the sprinkling of that blood, of the covenant described Exo_24:8, with Heb_9:18) speaketh reconciliation, peace, and eternal life.
