12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.



Ver. 12. A change also of the law] "For we are not under the taw, but under grace." The gospel is post naufragium tabula, a plank after shipwreck, and hath its remuneration, Heb_11:6, viz. of grace and mercy. By law here some understood only the law of priesthood.
