Ver. 4. How great this man was] It is goodness that renders a man great, and the grace of God that ennobleth, Isa_43:4; Heb_11:2. Keep close to God, and then ye shall be some of God’s Rabbis, as Daniel calls them, Dan_9:27. See Job_32:9. Great men indeed, not with a belline (war-like), but with a genuine, greatness.
