Isa_19:20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

Ver. 20. And it shall be for a sign and for a witness.] The doctrine of Christ’s death is a clear testimony of God’s great love and kindness to mankind. {Rom_5:8}



For they shall cry unto the Lord for their oppressors.
] As the Israelites sometimes had done under the Egyptian servitude. {Exo_3:9}



And he shall send them a Saviour.
] Not Moses but Messias, that great Saviour; {a} for God had laid his people’s "help on one that is mighty." {Psa_89:19} See Tit_2:13
