Isa_24:23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
Ver. 23. Then the moon shall be confounded.] The glory of Christ’s kingdom shall be so great, that in comparison to it the sun and moon shall cast no light. See Isa_24:23; Isa_60:19.
When the Lord of hosts.] The Lord Christ, summus caelitum Imperator.
And before his ancients.] The whole Church and especially her officers, which are the glory of Christ. {2Co_8:23}
