Ver. 13. The Lord standeth up to plead.] Or, To debate, {Job_9:3 Pro_25:8-9} to argue the case, and to hear pleas. He is content, for the clearing of his justice and conviction of sinners, to submit his courses unto scanning. See Isa_5:3. He standeth to judge the people.] And the Lord will enter into judgment. {Isa_3:14} Three various words are here made use of for judgment, to show, saith Oecolampadius, that God hath been, is, and shall be Judge, and that in his judgment, nihil relinquetar inexpensum, nothing shall be left unconsidered.
