Isa_38:21 For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay [it] for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.
Ver. 21. Let them take a lump of figs.] Commenciatur hic usus medicinae. The patient must pray, but withal make use of means; trust God, but not tempt him. {See Trapp on "2Ki_20:7"}
