This Chapter Verse Commentaries:

Isa_43:10 Ye [are] my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I [am] he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Ver. 10. Ye are my witnesses.] He taketh to witness of this great truth in question, not heaven, earth, sea, &c., but his people, among whom he had given in all ages so many clear arguments and experiments of his divinity, his oracles and miracles for instance.

And my servant whom I have chosen,
] i.e., Christ, saith the Chaldee paraphrast; the prophet Isaiah, say others; or, which is more likely, Cyrus, who is called God’s elect servant, {Isa_42:1} and his testimony concerning God is to be read in Ezr_1:3, "The Lord God of Israel he is God." Every true believer doth as much, if not more; for "He that believeth hath set to his seal that God is true," {Joh_3:33} hath given him a testimonial, such as is that in Deu_32:4, "A God of truth, and without iniquity, just and right is he." Such a sealer was Abraham, {Rom_4:20} and "such honour have all his saints."

That ye may know and believe and understand.] That ye may have a "full assurance of knowledge," {as Luk_1:4} and a "full assurance of faith." {Heb_10:22}
