This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
Isa_54:14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
Ver. 14. In righteousness shalt thou be established.] Righteousness is here opposed to oppression. Regiment without righteousness, is but robbery with authority.
For thou shalt not fear.] Or, That thou mayest not fear.
And from terror.] Tyranny is terrible.
