Isa_56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation [is] near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Ver. 1. Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice,] i.e., Repent ye, as ye were exhorted, {Isa_45:6-7} and "bring forth fruits meet for repentance," {Mat_3:8} "for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." {Mat_3:2 Tit_2:12} Christ came to "call sinners to repentance," {Mar_2:17} and to good works of all sorts, which are here called judgment and justice, as he himself is here called not only God’s salvation, but his righteousness.
