12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.



Ver. 12. As they that shall be judged] Or, as they that should judge by the law of liberty; which is so called, because it doth freely and fully discover unto every man, without respect of persons, the errors and evils of his life. And we should walk as patterns of the rule. {See Trapp on "Mat_11:19"} It is also called a law of liberty, because it is freely and willingly kept of the regenerate, to whom it is no burden or bondage.
