Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord.] See on Jer_17:5 Psa_25:12; Psa_32:10; Psa_34:8; Psa_84:12; Psa_125:1; Psa_146:5, where David. having entered a caveat against creature confidence, persuadeth people, by trusting in God alone, to provide for their own safety and happiness. See Nah_1:7. Such shall have marvellous lovingkindness from God, {Psa_17:7} above all that can be uttered (Psa_31:19; see Pro_28:25).
