Jer_26:9 Why hast thou prophesied in the name of the LORD, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.
Ver. 9. Why hast thou prophesied in the name of the Lord?] Who doubtless hath not sent thee on this errand; but thou speakest it of thine own head, and shalt dearly answer it.
And all the people were gathered.] That many headed multitude, that neutrum modo, mas modo vulgus. See Jer_26:16.
