Jer_33:9 And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
Ver. 9. And it shall be to me a name {a} of joy,] i.e., An honour, that I shall take singular delight in.
And they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness.] Which bodes no good to them; for the Church’s welfare is ever joined with the downfall and destruction of her enemies.
{a} In nomen laetum, i.e., laeificum.
