Jer_50:21 Go up against the land of Merathaim, [even] against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy after them, saith the LORD, and do according to all that I have commanded thee.
Ver. 21. Go up against the land of Merathaim, and against the inhabitants of Pekod.] Two Babylonian provinces. {Eze_23:23} Calvin rendereth it, The land of exasperators, and the inhabitation of visitation, i.e., that deserve to be punished. This is God’s commission to Cyrus.
