39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.



Ver. 39. Come and see] A most gracious invitation. That self-seeking scribe, Mat_8:19, met with far other entertainment. Let men bring to Jesus Christ but lawful petitions and honest aims, and they may have what they will of him.
